This notice explains how personal data of visitors to this website is processed, under Articles 13 and 14 of EU Regulation 2016/679 (GDPR), the Italian Privacy Code (Legislative Decree 196/2003) and the ePrivacy Directive 2002/58/EC.
02. Data collected & purposes
Technical browsing data. To deliver the site, the hosting provider automatically processes technical data such as IP address, browser, operating system, requested pages, date and time. It is used only to deliver the site and keep it secure, never to identify or profile visitors.
Contact data. If you write by email, the data you send (name, email address, message) is used only to reply and, if a collaboration follows, to manage it. It is not used for marketing.
Videos. The works are published on YouTube (Google Ireland Ltd.) and embedded in privacy-enhanced mode (youtube-nocookie.com). The YouTube player is loaded only (a) when you press play on a work page, after being informed next to the player, or (b) for the short previews on the home page, only if you have allowed “video previews” on the banner or in the Cookie Policy. From that moment Google receives your IP address and technical browser data and may store data in your browser, under its own policy (policies.google.com/privacy).
Cover images. Video covers are delivered from this site's own domain: viewing them does not contact Google.
Fonts and sounds. Typefaces are served by this site. The sounds of the site are generated inside your browser: no audio is recorded and the microphone is never used.
Anonymous statistics. Only if you allow it, the site uses Vercel Web Analytics to count visits in aggregate form (pages viewed, country, device type, referring site), without cookies and without identifying you. Otherwise the statistics script is not loaded at all.
03. Legal basis
- Technical data: legitimate interest in delivering and securing the site (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR)
- Videos played on request, video previews, statistics: your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), which you can withdraw at any time from the Cookie Policy, without affecting earlier processing
- Contact data: replying to your request and any pre-contractual or contractual steps (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR)
Giving your data is optional; without consent the site still works, only previews and statistics stay off.
04. Recipients
- Vercel Inc. — hosting and delivery of the site, image delivery and, only with consent, anonymous statistics (processor, Art. 28 GDPR)
- Google Ireland Ltd. — YouTube player, only when you press play or allow previews (independent controller)
- Public authorities, where required by law
Data is not sold or shared for advertising.
05. Transfers outside the EU
Vercel Inc. and Google LLC are based in the United States and are certified under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework (adequacy decision of 10 July 2023); where needed, Standard Contractual Clauses also apply (Art. 46 GDPR).
06. Retention
Technical data is kept by the hosting provider for a limited time, according to its retention policies. Contact data is kept for as long as needed to handle your request and, if a professional relationship follows, for the periods required by tax and civil law. Your consent choices stay in your browser until you change or delete them.
07. Your rights
Under Articles 15–22 GDPR you can:
- access your data (Art. 15), have it rectified (Art. 16) or erased (Art. 17)
- restrict (Art. 18) or object to processing (Art. 21), receive your data in a portable format (Art. 20)
- withdraw your consent at any time (Art. 7(3))
Write to lr.santorsola@icloud.com. You can also lodge a complaint with the Italian Data Protection Authority (Garante per la protezione dei dati personali — garanteprivacy.it). No automated decisions or profiling take place.
